Conference was Incredible - Over way too fast!

Buenas Tardes Familia y Amigos! hello hello

Incoming from the Chilean front, news from Hualqui & the Hermanas serving there! Everything is just rolling along!! Conference was incredible. It was spent in a separate room in the stake center with all the other gringo missionaries watching it in English, snacking on pretzels and staring in awe at all of the inspiration flowing out of the tv...was over way too fast. The messages were beautiful messages from our Heavenly Father, what a powerful, inspirational and loving God He is!

there was just a tremor in internet. It's become pretty normal to feel little shakes of the earth. Speaking of which, there are alot of things that I have forgotten are not "normal" (besides the fact that I didn't shave mylegs...big whoop, get over it boys). It's not really "normal" to be running around Sunday morning inviting people to church, nor whipe off your silverware and rim of your glass with a napkin before you use them, just to make sure they're sanitary. It's not normal to feel a little rebelious when you don't polish your shoes every morning, or even feel excited when someone says they read a pamphlet.
There are a whole lot of things about missionary life that I have never done before; that haven't ever really been the norm. But I think it's a mixture of it all that really makes it so great. Missions aren't normal. They were never meant to be normal experiences. And in the midst of everything, the missionary isn't supposed to be normal either. I'm not supposed to feel like I normally do, nor act, talk, think, converse, relate, love, serve or even dress like I normally do. Whether it be the "camping" conditions we live in, or the daily activities that a missionary is involved in, it isn't meant to be an ordinary experience. Forget the details, forget the daily humor, the sweat, the tears and the achey body, forget the 8 glasses of daily coke a day and the fact that you're with the exact same person all the time; forget the numbers, the phone calls and the dogs that disgust you....and you'll really be able to profoundly and appreciatively realize that the mission can't and never will be a normal experience.
But, really, it's up to you to embrace everything that a mission is, and isn't, and find in it for yourself, who you are, what you're made of, who designed you, and what in the world is God's grand plan for you.

I have no doubt that God is perfect. That He loves us too much to allow coincidences and that He has provided a way for families to be together forever. I know He is perfectly patient with us, and I know that the things that He wants us to know is contained in the Book of Mormon. I know He's working out our salvation, we just have to get on board.

LOOK UP STEP UP.

I loveloveloveyou! I hope you all have an incredible week!

Hermana Chilly Willy

On the outskirts of Hualqui, Hermana Bustinza is a babe!
Pretty Springtime, a normal Chilean home
Prosperina, who's almost 90 (actually I don't know if even she knows how old she is) She came to conference. Most of the lessons are spent with us right next to her ear so she can hear us.
Petronila - She made this bag to put her hymn book and her scriptures in.
All the gals lined up for Conference. Hualqui took a bus to the Stake Center, about 45 minutes away.
