Hermana Child-Hermana Hardy-Hermana Sieverts

Mama Mia y familia fabulosa y amigos amarosos :) helllooo!!

Oh how I love you all very very much! Sounds like the house is rollin on! How's the snow (hahahaha) I definitely just got back from the beach today with all of the Hermanas. Not to rub it in, but it was pretty fantastic. Live up the snow while you can! Drive safe! And don't try and go waterskiing in May. That just sounds horrible.

Conti is fabulous! and I currently am in the middle of two amazing companions. How blessed I am!! Hna. Anna Maria Sieverts is the new addition to our companionship/house/ward. It makes us 5 in the house, in the ward, and in Conti. She is a spunky 4'11'' chica from Sandy Utah who studied nutrition at the U and then Utah State. She is in her 4th cambio, 2nd area, and she is so cute! Teaching me how she's found to eat healthy inbetween the meals of greased chicken and rice topped with tomatos and cabbage soaked in oil and salt. She is really loving, and a hardworker. It's nice to have someone that can relate to some of the things that you have to deal with as a new missionary - adapting to it all - and it pulls us into a really good balance in the house. She's easy going, but a good example of a non-robotic missionary. She has adorable style, likes running, and loves people. Need I say more? :) We'll both just soak up all the knowledge and skill from Hna hardy before she heads home at the end of this cambio (because then, if I'm reading the Lord's mind, we'll be here still to keep her legacy going). Mom- as for sending anything with David Hardy (her dad), I'll be thinking. I know they live in Northern Nevada, and I'm sure you could send some really great things as surprises :) I don't think I've mentioned this, but the coveted thing from packages is chocolate chips and brown sugar- the 2 indgredients they somehow don't come by here in Chile.
You'll be happy to know that there is a "Walmart" here with a different name, and I got really cute, bright sheets. So don't worry about bedding - I'll be fine. Heat up a lot of the rice bag things in our microwave during the winter.

As a trio, there are a lot of different advantages! Even though it almost gives me a heart attack everytime they talk about me splitting up and going with a member to accompany us, I'm starting to get braver, and my confidence in the Lord is slowly and steadily turning into a strength. It's a lot easier to get so much work done when we're working almost as 2 companionships....double the appointments at night, and double the time to find and teach others. I've learned a lot from Hna. Sieverts - it helps to have a few different takes on teaching and contacting and just being a missionary.

As for our investigators! Janett has a baptismal date for Saturday! We are so encouraged by the progress we've seen in her family, and are only praying that she continues and continues! She is laughing a lot more and even rearranged her kitchen/living space this week (even if that meant she didn't prepare the Family Home Evening lesson --- little by little) And this week, little Juanito, her son, was wearing a BYU t-shirt when we got there! haha He was Mormon even before we got there :)
Cristobal, is continuing to go to seminary everyday, clean the chapel and sharing with us. He finally got to church this week to sacrament meeting, so he's on his way to getting into the waters of baptism...He's very willing to keep the commandments, and is very understanding of the gospel. This week we were talking about receiving an answer to know if he should join this church, he said that he's pretty sure he's already gotten an answer, because sometimes the answer comes even before we ask, we just have to recognize it. How true that is! I'm learning so much from every person I come into contact with, and with every person I teach. My testimony is continually being strengthened.

Famileeeeee:
-turns out no photos will be sent this week, since we're at a different internet cafe today, sorry..life-size barbie photo will have to wait. But, I did find out I get to skype with you on Mother's Day - so be excited to see my face then. Also, Mitch - let's arrange it so you're in on the convo too.
-dad: thank you for words of encouragement and love. Keep hangin in there. eat a few extra cashews in the office for me.
-jed: update buddy on the whole am-cat situation. asap. plus, I'd like to know if you're getting better grades than me. haha j/k
-clint: good luck in the swimming part of the tri. I bet you'll do fine. This'll be the only time you'll here me say this: shave those legs and you'll be as slippery as a fish.
-rach: buy a cute biking shirt, no matter what you'll be really cute in the photos so it'll be a good memory. ahah no...just remember to pack in some extra tires.
-Mitch: I'm responding to your letter this week. Keep working hard buddy! But tone it down on the sweating. :)
-maaaam: favorite fruit: they have really good grapes! they're fresh and with seeds, but delicious! Most of the summer fruits are gone (yeah, they have like a season), but there's always next year. We've had one multi-zone conference where I saw Elder Daines and talked for a little bit! And I am so proud of you for turning being a mom into a full-time job. Thank you so so much! Good luck with the R.S. this week. Any good ideas for Family Home Evening fun games/object lessons? We're supposed to have one every week with each of our investigators.

I love you all so much! I appreciate all of your prayers and LOVE! keep 'er goin in Utah, and I'll be pushin it hard here in CHILE!!

xoxo Hermana Child
